Blueberries: Indisputably Healthy
When it comes to "proper nutrition," nutritionists don't always agree on what's healthy and what's not. Disagreements on the nutritional benefits of foods is what set Domaine Magazine writer, Amanda Montell, on a journey to discover which, if any, foods nutritionists could agree are healthy. Emails were sent to 17 nutritionists and doctors with different backgrounds, asking them each to list out the foods they thought were the healthiest. The foods were cross-referenced to create a master list of the "The Only 10 Foods That All Nutritionists Recommend."
Guess which food made the top of their list? Blueberries! It comes as no surprise to us that blueberries were cited by all 17 nutritionists and doctors surveyed by Domaine Magazine. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, helping to eliminate harmful toxins, like those that cause heart disease and cancer, from all parts of the body. They also have a ton of vitamins, like magnesium, zinc, calcium, potassium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K. From building strong bones to preventing heart disease and cancer, blueberries are indeed a superfood!
