We’re excited to announce our Second Annual Jubilee Jamboree to be held Saturday, April 22, from 9am-3pm. The Jamboree will feature eight different blueberry varieties, including the SuziBlue, Emerald, Farthing, and MeadowLark varieties. Clowns and ponies will be at Jubilee from 10am-2pm to entertain the kids, and food trucks will be onsite serving up local fare.
For organic berry lovers, Jubilee Orchards will offer u-pick for USDA organic blueberry varieties! Jubilee recently announced that pesticides, fungicides, and hericides will no longer be applied to our orchard - all fruit will be organically grown! With a mission to create discerning blueberry palates, Jubilee Orchards provides a fun, family and community friendly environment for visitors to pick…and eat.
For Bud and Kitty Chiles, dreamers, blueberry farmers, and the founders of Jubilee Orchards, the Jubilee Jamboree places an exclamation point on a successful blueberry season and a roaring start to fulfilling their mission to bring the true meaning of Locally Grown Happiness to Tallahassee.
Kitty shared, “Our first Jubilee Orchards Family Day was such a huge success! Seeing the families and friends in the fields with big smiles (and many full blueberry bellies) brought us much happiness as well.” Bud added, "Every weekend since our season began has been filled with blueberry lovers! The Jamboree will be very exciting, and in addition to blueberry u-pick, we’ll also have clowns and ponies for the kids!"
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public! Conventional blueberries are $6 per pound and organic blueberries are $8 per pound. We recommend wearing close toe shoes, a hat, and sunblock. Buckets will be provided and water and restrooms will be available. Please no pets for food safety concerns.
Jubilee Blues are also available during the season at New Leaf Market Co-Op, Earth Fare, and Red Hills Online Market. We’re also open every Saturday from 10am-2pm and Sunday from 1pm-4pm for blueberry u-pick! We will be closed Sunday, April 23rd after the Jubliee Jamboree.
